Being in college, it’s a great time for my friends and I to seek out pizza when we’re out on the town. As customers who care about our planet and who need to pay attention to allergies and diets, we like to find plant-based cheese in our pizza restaurants. More often than not, it’s easy to find at even our most local pizza joints.
But despite this local accessibility, and the global demand for plant-based cheese, prominent pizza chain Domino’s Pizza has failed to join competitors and listen to its consumers in 2020. As customers who want to shop our values and our diets, this is a massive missed opportunity for Domino’s, one of the country’s biggest chains. And my friends and I want them to act.

Urge Domino’s Pizza to Offer Plant-Based Cheese Nationally!
It is estimated that 30 to 50 million Americans are lactose intolerant. Not only is health a concern but dairy cows produce greenhouse gas emissions which contribute to climate change. And animals in the dairy industry also suffer tremendously.
Plant-based cheese would not only be better for the environment, our health and animal welfare but also because it will be a pristine business opportunity for Domino’s Pizza.
The plant-based market overall is predicted to reach a value of $140 billion by 2029 according to the financial firm Barclays. Nielsen data shows that nearly 40% of Americans are trying to incorporate more plant-based foods into their diets. 63% of millennials identify as flexitarian, eating mainly plant-based diets, according to sales and marketing firm Acosta. What this all means is the people are demanding plant-based products. So why is Domino’s Pizza the last to know what their consumers are asking for?
Tell Domino’s Pizza the time is now to listen to consumer demand and carry plant-based cheese throughout its national supply chain!
